Framework Vision & Core Philosophy
For schools beginning the transition to compentency-based or a student-centered mastery teaching and learning model, there need to be established common beliefs and understandings that will become the underpinnings of the shift forward. This framework has been one that I have used with teachers as they design teaching for meaningful change. This starts the shift from seat-time, compliance-based instruction toward an equitable, student-centered learning model driven by mastery, personal agency, and real-world relevance.
